Opto-electronic hybrid cable for access network (GDTA)

The structure of GDTA type opto-electronic hybrid cable is that single-mode or multimode optical fiber is put into a loose sleeve made of high modulus polyester material, and the sleeve is filled with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a metal reinforced core, and for some number of optical cables, a layer of polyethylene needs to be squeezed outside the metal reinforced core. Loose sleeves and insulated copper conductors of the required size are twisted around the central reinforcing core to form a compact round core, with gaps in the core filled with water blocking filler. Plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) is wrapped longitudinally and then extruded with polyethylene sheath into cable.
